Vibration absorbing materials for aviation.
Part 2. The influence of external factors on damping properties of polymer materials in a viscoelastic state
Abstract
A comprehensive analysis of the factors determining the vibration-absorbing capacity of polymers in the viscoelastic state has been carried out. The influence of temperature and frequency on the relaxation properties of polymers has been studied, and the application of the time-temperature equivalence principle for predicting material behavior over a wide frequency range has been substantiated. To control dissipative properties, such polymer modification strategies as the combination of several polymers, the creation of the phase structure, and the reinforcement of the polymer with fillers are described.
