Ni–B chemical coating's structure and properties investigation
Abstract
The microstructure and the phase composition of Ni–B chemical coating have been investigated. The amorphous precipitate is shown to be crystallized during heating, and the layered-columnar structure disappears; microhardness increases and reaches the maximum value of chrome coating’s microhardness. The porosity not changed at 300°C, and thereafter slightly increases at 350‒400°C.
